A reputable company in the retail sector, specializing in souvenirs, branded merchandise, and related products, is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Accounts Officer to join its team. The company is committed to delivering quality, creativity, and customer satisfaction while serving individuals, institutions, and corporate clients across Ghana.The Accounts Officer will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, maintaining accurate records, tracking expenses, and ensuring effective debt management. This role is ideal for a proactive and analytical professional who can contribute to the company’s financial stability and growth.RESPONSIBILITIESEnter and update all bank payments in the accounting system.
Follow up on outstanding debts and maintain updated debtor records.
Review, reconcile, and monitor expenses to ensure accuracy.
Collect and account for cash deposits from all branches.
Call clients to gather feedback on financial transactions and resolve concerns.
Support in developing finance-related inputs for marketing campaigns.
Approve and process branch expense requests with proper documentation.
Conduct monthly checks of financial activities at operational sites.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, car movements, and fuel purchases.
Prepare and submit financial and management reports for review.
Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
RequirementsDiploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2–3 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably in retail, FMCG, or related industries.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
High integrity and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare transport schedules and ensure adherence to policies and timelines
Assign drivers to vehicles and monitor utilization
Ensure vehicles meet safety standards and legal requirements (licenses, insurance, etc.)
Monitor driver performance, safety, and compliance issues
Oversee completion of logbooks and transport records
Provide administrative support and driving assistance when required
Requirements
A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Transport & Logistics, or a related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in fleet/transport management
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks effectively
