The Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET), was established in 1968 by Government of India with the assistance of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Nigeria, Ghana, Niger, Cameroon, and Sub-Sahara Africa. The main objective of setting up of the institute was to develop manpower in different disciplines of Plastics Engineering & Technology as no similar institute was in existence in the country. The International Labour Organization (ILO) served as the executing agency. During the initial project period between 1968 and 1973, the institute achieved the targets envisaged and was rated as one of the most successful UNDP projects implemented worldwide.
Today CIPET is a premier national institution under the aegis of the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) fully devoted to Skill Development, Technology Support Services, Academic and Research (STAR) in Africa and South America. CIPET operates on hub & spokes model with 28 locations - 5 High Learning Centres, 12 Other Learning Centres, 3 Specialized Centres, 2 R & D Wings, 5 Vocational Training Centre, 1 Petrochemical Data Services spread across the country catering to the needs of Polymer and allied industries. And, 11 more centres are in the process of establishment across Asia, and Africa. At Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET), we create chemistry for a sustainable future. Required Qualifications, Skills and Competencies
- Applicants must be academically qualified with not less than 3 years of working experience preferably in the manufacturing sector.
- Have Graduated Degree from a University or or have an HND
- Must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme
- Possession of a relevant Masters’ Degree will give an added advantage.
- Show adaptability, willingness to learn new skills and commitment to exceptional delivery
- Possess exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Be innovative and creative.

Job Description
The Operations Manager I is responsible for coaching and supervising a group of Team Leaders. This position is also responsible for ensuring Client Service Level Agreement and financial expectations are achieved.
Due to incredible growth, we're searching for Leaders who are passionate in providing exceptional client & customer service to join our Operations Team at our Contact Centre office based in Accra City Centre!
To be successful in this job, you must be able to commit to full flexibility to work day and night shift hours, Monday to Sunday.
**Essential Functions/Core Responsibilities**
- Analyze and maintain all Client Service Level Agreements; implement improvement plans as needed
- Maximize revenue generation to reach long and short term financial projects (i.e. data collection for billable/non-billable hours, forecasting, budgeting, etc.)
- Selecting, training, developing, and managing performance of direct reports and their associates; including planning and assigning work for staff in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable legal requirements
- Manage and review operational reports (Attendance adherence, PFP, Client scorecard, Metrics management reports)
- Create and maximize relationships with client partners
- Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports to ensure consistent administration of company policies and standards; define and implement any corrective actions needed to meet operational performance
- Conduct regular one-on-ones with direct reports to review individual performance, the performance of their team and offer on-going developmental coaching
- Create a positive work environment through employee engagement; resolve employee relation issues in a professional and timely manner
- Participate in cross functional meetings to review information received from operational support functions - Training, HR, Quality, WFM, TA.- and partner to define action plans that resolve issues and drive continuous improvement
- Implement best practices and over-deliver for clients, drive consistent performance, evaluate staffing needs, with input from BD and Client and make adjustments to meet changing requirements
- Attend business reviews with the client
- Handle a team of team leaders
**Candidate Profile**
- Associate's Degree in related field with more than seven years of experience (with at least two years of Progressive Management Experience) preferred
- Call center experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to coach and develop action plans, which maximize performance, and provide effective feedback
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and improve work processes; establish a course of action for self and others to accomplish a specific goal
- Work well under pressure and follow through on items to completion while maintaining professional demeanor
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to effectively present information to internal and external associates
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize projects in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented business environment
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach and provide direction to a team of employees
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule
