in Shipping, Aviation & Logistics, Oil & Gas Exploration,
Construction, Development Management & Supply, Commodities Trading,
Mining Agribusiness & Agro Food Processing as well as Private Security
Services.
Scope
The Pump Attendant will
responsible for ensuring general pump repairs as well as pumping brine
to salt pans based on the advice of the production supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the station and its equipment (pump) are safe,
clean and in good working condition.
- Making periodic
inspection of the station for safe and efficient operation
- Report any major equipment break down for timely repair.
- Operates pumping equipment to transfer brine into
salt pans based on the advice of the production supervisor working
closely with the brine attendant
- Turns valves, pulls
levers and flips switches to operate motor-driven pumps that transfer
brine from the intake to the concentrators, evaporators,
pre-crystallizers and crystallizers
- Read gauges to
regulate equipment according to brine consumption demand.
- Conduct minor repairs, lubricates equipment, using hand
tools.
- Records data, like utilization of equipment,
power consumption, and brine salinity/concentration using the
aerometer working closely with the brine attendant
Requirements
- High school Certificate -
WASSCE/SSCE
- A certificate or relevant training in
auto mechanics will be an advantage
- Minimum one (1)
year experience in the same or similar role.
- Pays
attention to detail and diligent in delivery
- Must be
flexible and willing to work on a shift and rotation
