MACHINE OPERATOR

JOB DESCRIPTION

Scope

The Machine Operator will be mainly responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and operating assigned machines, cleaning and quality-checking all machinery to ensure everything works as it should, and works at capacity without issue, and is appropriately maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Mechanical troubleshooting and repair
  
• Hydraulic troubleshooting and repair
  
• Electrical Troubleshooting and Repair which includes the ability to read electronic/hydraulic schematics.
  
• Ensure all installations and operations conform to the company’s standards and customer requirements.
  
• Plan and run maintenance checks on all electrical equipment and machinery as and when needed.
  
• Adhere to maintenance and repair schedules involving the installation and maintenance of systems.
  

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or any related field
  
• Minimum four (4) years’ experience in the same or similar role.
  
• Ability to install and set up various electrical machinery
  
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  
• Ability to work with the engineering group to improve the performance of the equipment.
  
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform equipment/machine repairs.
  
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  
• Strong technical, problem-solving, innovative, and critical thinking skills.
  
• Must be a good team player and detail-oriented.
