LEGAL MANAGER

Location: Accra, Ghana

Job Type: Full time

Scope

The Legal Manager will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to the organization in the statutory functions and serve as a representative for the organization in criminal and civil matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent the organization and its employees on both civil and criminal matters
  
• Support organization’s capacity building activities for Boards and Management of Specified Entities
  
• Assist in reviewing organization’s activities to ensure compliance with applicable laws
  
• Support in providing legal counsel in negotiations & administration of contracts
  
• Maintain a database of the status of all court matters in relation to the organization’s mandate
  
• Assist in preparing, reviewing and interpreting agreements and other documents concerning the organization.
  

• A Bachelor of Law (LLB) or a Bachelor of Arts with a Law focus or a Barrister of Law.
  
• A Post graduate Degree is an advantage.
  
• Member of the Ghana Bar Association or its equivalent.
  
• Minimum of ten (10) years at the bar with extensive experience in civil litigation, commercial & corporate practice
  
• Strong work ethics, conflict resolution and organizational skills
  
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
  
• Keen attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  
• Must have strong communication, analytical an& problem-solving, planning & coordination and organizational skills
  
• Possess high level of integrity and professionalism.
