Full Job Description

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:•MA, MSc. or MBA in Marketing, economics, commerce, or related field required; •Must possess professional qualification (Professional Chartered Marketer).•DBA/Ph.D. in Marketing would be an added advantage. •Minimum of Ten (10) years experience in various aspects of business development with a proven track record in brands and sales management. •Proven track record in Marketing Training, Coaching and Mentoring. •Proven track record in handling International Business Development projects and assignments. •Minimum of 5 years working experience in a similar role in a multinational company.•Proficient in marketing research and statistical analysis. •Ability to develop budgets.•Familiar with financial planning and strategy.•Up to speed with current and online marketing techniques and best practices•Must speak English and French fluently.

JOB PURPOSE:

The successful applicant will seek to define and deliver opportunities for the Organisation by establishing and developing new business opportunities with international partners and/or clients. The role reports to the Chief Operating Officer.

ROLE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:


  • Prepares sales plans and support alignment of marketing plans in conjunction with the Group Office.

  • Identifies future requirements of customers, and advise internal departments to enable the Group to source and provide appropriate professional and profitable end to end solutions.

  • Ensure existing and potential customer client base is monitored and account managed.

  • Develop an International Business Development Policy that is aligned with the corporate business strategy.

  • Works with business development teams to develop leads and opportunities.

  • Develops an extensive business development strategy to grow international business.

  • Conducts in-depth market research to qualify developing business opportunities; leverage industry contacts for strategic intelligence; and assess the viability of potential international business partnerships or project opportunities

  • Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual reports on marketing operations/activities or any other report(s) related to job function.

  • PERSON SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in order to influence change, must be comfortable presenting in a large group setting.

  • Excellent leadership and organizing skills

  • Analytical and creative thinking.
