Full Job Description
Objective Of The Position :
1. To assist the Assistant Finance & Accounting Manager, keep proper
books of
accounts of all transactions in line
with the International Financial Reporting
Standards (IFRS).
2. To undertake
store-keeping and receivables management in support of the F&A
Department.
3. To contribute to ensuring
optimal use of resources to enhance the profitability
measures of the company.
Duties/Responsibilities:
1. To
assist in the preparation of monthly Financial statements including
the following
- Statement of Financial
position
- Income statement
- Statement of
Cash flows
2. To assist in managing Account
receivables by
- Preparing customer invoices and
receipts and ensuring their timely dispatch.
- Ensuring
that 20% of invoices issued and dispatched are outstanding at the end
of
- every month.
- Maintaining, updating,
and reconciling customer accounts daily.
- Preparing and
sending monthly statements to customers.
- Categorizing
customers into an appropriate credit rating matrix.
- Developing a debt management policy.
3. To prepare weekly Bank reconciliations
4.
To do daily entry of transactions into QuickBooks
5. To assist in the quarterly valuation of Inventory
6. To undertake store-keeping and ensure all stock
movements as well as related revenues
and
expenditures are clearly documented, tracked and properly accounted
for.
7. To undertake receivables management
including liaison with customers as required.
8. To perform any other duties that may be assigned to you by the
Managing Director and
your superiors.
Requirements
Key
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree
in Accounting or related field
- At least 1 years,
experience in a similar role
- Level 1 of Professional
Certification (e.g. ACCA or ICA)
